Hello RAMBO fans, friends, and followers.

Hello!

As summer turns to fall RAMBO wants to send out an update on some improvements that have been being made up on the trails and other noteworthy news.

TRAIL ADDITIONS/IMPROVEMENTS

Throughout the summer the trail crew has put in 305.5 hours of volunteer labor (THANKS if you were a part of that!) maintaining the trails through weed whipping, tree clearing, deberming, etc. We have also added a handful of elevated “skinny” features throughout the trail as options for those riders that like to get their tires off the dirt for just a little bit. Sections of “Crazy on You” have also been improved with some flowy corners replacing trail that ran straight down a fall line. Suffice to say, if you haven’t been out on the trails in the last month or so there is probably something new for you to enjoy!

MISSISSIPPI NATIONAL UPDATE

As most of you know, there has been work being done to try and add some trail to the woods of Mississippi National Golf Course. Unfortunately discussions with some affected parties didn’t progress as well as we had hoped in regards to the access trail(s) so, at least at this time, this project has been put on the back burner. We will revisit this with the City and affected parties next year to see if the impasse can be resolved in a way that everyone is happy.

BOARD UPDATES

Board member and Treasurer, Jason Overman moved out of town and had to step down from the Board. We are happy to report that one local rider (who has been involved in keeping the trails going for years) has stepped up and joined the RAMBO Board. Thank you, Larry Warrington!!!

PLANS ARE FORMING

Andrew Upman is forming a committee to decide the next couple of big trail projects. If anyone is interested in joining this committee, please contact us redwingmtb@gmail.com

Stay tuned for a fall/winter club gathering.  Low Key evet, snacks and beverages. Come hang out at the bike shop and talk about bikes, trails, riding, etc…. Date and Time TBD soon.
