7/13 Trail Update

Had a fantastic turnout with today’s trail work, thank you all who showed up, I know it wasn’t the most exciting work today, but we were able to knock out everything I had planned and most everyone was done by noon!
The power line company had come through and mowed down the sections under the lines this past week, so terrain around these areas that you’ll pass through will be a little bumpy.
Following the trail work there was a pretty strong storm that came through and dumped 1-1/4″ of rain in 30mins so expect some washout in areas, there’s a chance of more pop up storms this weekend, luckily we’ve got Larry who has been out there improving a lot of the drainage and other improvements to trail flow like on the downhill section of In Through The Out Door, hats off to him.

Accomplished:

• Pitfall trap on the green trail was filled in
• Leveled off the area to the left of the beginner stone skinny
• Weed whipped Southern Cross, Stairway, Henke’s Hollow – Margaritaville, Start Me Up (Green trail)
• Cleared all trees/branches/face slappers around Welcome To The Jungle areas

To Do:

• Most of the trail is sitting in decent shape, though I won’t be opposed to any weed whipping on Crazy On You & In Through The Out Door, but they aren’t that bad.
• Signage – I need to get out there and put more directional signs up.
• Next big scheduled trail work day will be Aug 3rd.
